Stephen Klatt, MPT

Winnipeg Physiotherapist

About

It was in 2001, when Stephen fractured his lower back that he started pursuing the idea of a career in physiotherapy. His injury led him to seek professional help from physiotherapists in order to recovery from this injury. The compassion and care he received from the physios who treated him, led him to consider physiotherapy as a career for himself. Through his studies and own life experiences with injury rehabilitation, he has developed a passion for injury prevention, biomechanics, and chronic pain management.

Winnipeg Physiotherapist, Stephen Klatt

Starting from a young age with a part-time job at the YMCA, Stephen began to develop and deepen his interest in strength and rehabilitation through exercise. Continuing on this path at the university level, he decided to pursue an undergraduate degree from the University of Winnipeg in kinesiology and applied health. As he continued to study, he also had the opportunity of getting first hand experience in a physiotherapy clinic as an assistant, solidifying his idea to give back to others in the way he had been helped through his previous injury.

He was soon accepted to the University of Manitoba to study Physical Therapy and in 2015 graduated with a Masters degree in Physical Therapy. Stephen has since worked as a physiotherapist in both public and private sectors.

Currently, Stephen is spending time with his family and pursuing his dream of becoming an Electrical Engineer Technologist. He will not be returning to Physiotherapy practice.

Stephen uses the pronouns he/him/his.
